Fall snake skin nails

This is my 3rd day wearing this mani and I do have some tip wear but hopefully you can't see too much of it from the pictures.

I am wearing Fingerpaints Cordur-Orange. I absolutely love this color, it went on like butter and I only did one coat of this sucker. Full opacity. I am in love. I can't believe this is the only color I picked up from this collection. Then I used the newest bundle monster set to stamp a snakeskin pattern with sally hansen nail polish pen in gold.

Browsing Ross at lunch time..

I went to Ross to pick up a birthday gift for my bestie and while I was there of course I had to look at the nail polish and there was a rumor saying that Ross had the new Color Club 2011 foiled collection out for sale and lookie what I found...

Not the best picture but you get the point. They were $7.99 w/o tax. So check out your local Ross to see if they have these babies if you are interested in getting them. I am mostly interested in using them for Konad and Bundle Monster stamping, since they are so opaque and thick.

Spidey Spidey Spidey!

If you watch cute polish on you tube you should see she did this mani for Halloween, I thought it was cute and easy so I gave it a try. This is how it turned out. I will wear this for the next couple of days and then proabably get bored of it and take it off, lol! Enjoy.

The spider nails sticked are from Sally's Beauty Supply, they are around $4 and it comes with different Halloween designs in the package.

Mummy I love you!

I have watched several you tube videos on mummy nails and I just combined what I liked and this is how it came out.

I used a makeup sponge to sponge a white, clear glitter and gold nail polish over my nails. Using a black stripper I made the black lines going across the nail and then used a white polish to make big dots for the whites of the eyes. Finally, use a red for the iris of the eyes and finish with a top coat(seche vite).

Hope you have a good day!

Hope you guys enjoy, my Frankenstein is ALIVE! Lol!

Color Club Back to Boho Collection at Ross

I was browsing my local Ross this past Saturday and I noticed on the shelf some color club nail polsih sets. They had half of the Back to Boho collection and the Starry Temptress collection. Guess how much it was? $7.99, CRAZY price for 7 nail polishes. I just picked up the Back to Boho collection, the Starty Temptress did not interest me much. So check out your local Ross to see if they have this, so worth it.

Nail Polish Storage

Well since I live in a small apartment I don't have much room. I picked up one of these plastic rolley cart things at Staples for like $8, they go on sale quite often.

First drawer: Nail supplies such as nail files, konad plates, konad stamper, nail polish wipes, orange sticks, nail stickers, nail jems, jewels and pearls, scotch tape, swabs.

Second drawer: Top coats, base coats, nail strengthners, nail art polishes (most are from the dollar store and I do have a couple of sally hansen nail polish pens, they are good for stamping). This is also where I keep my silver, nudes, golds, and brown nail polishes. I am slacking in that color department.

At first I had all my nail polished categorized by brand and they looked so neat and tidy but when I went to get a color I wanted to wear, it was a bit frustrating going through the brands looking for a specific color. So I decided to categorize them by color instead of brand, not so tidy but it works for me. These are blues, green, reds, blacks, and glitter polishes.

Last drawer: Pinks, purples, whites, oranges, yellows and corals. All my crackle and shatter nail polishes are in here also.

I just weeded out all the stuff I don't wear and gave most of it away. I currently have around 214 nail polishes. This is not all of them I have about 15 more that need to put away. Seriously I think I have a problem, maybe I need to challenge myself not to buy polish for a month.

Boring, Yawn, natural nails!

Well I figured every nail blog out there has shown their natural nails at least in one blog so it is my turn. These are my natural nails but I do have OPI Envy on top to try to keep my nails from breaking if I accidently hit something. Well here they are, ta dah!

I am holding Sinful Starfish from the Adventure Islands Collection. I actually just found this collection at my local Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and I only grabbed this one. Then when I got home I jumped on my computer to see the swatches of the others and needless to say I knew I should have picked up all 8 of them. They were priced at $1.89 at my store and I am heading there after work to pick up the rest of them. I hope they are still there.

And Another Pic... I am falling asleep, are you?

It's Sunday! Uh Oh Roll down the Window!

Today I am wearing Uh Oh Roll Down the Window by OPI. It's a new color from their Touring America Collection released a few weeks back.

I opted to get this one instead of China Glaze Westside Warrior from their new Metro collection. I feel this one is a tad bit lighter than Westside Warrior. The application was smooth but with creams I always have problems painting them on my nails, sometimes I just can't get it even. I need more practice and more practice, lol!

Planks A-Lot Tuesday

Here is my mani for Tuesday. I am wearing Planks A-Lot from the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. I used Zoya Jem for the zig zag tips, and to get these sharp lines just use scotch tape. Cut a piece of tape into two sections and use the sharp corners of the triangles and tape them on your nails to the desired look. I added China glaze fairy dust and topped it with Seche Vite.

Hope you guys like it, Happy TUESDAY!

China glaze weekend Haul

Over the weekend I spotted the new China glaze Metro collection at Sally's Beauty Supply, I wasn't too impressed by this collection but I picked up the ones I thought were most authentic. Midtown Magic, Skyscraper and Trendsetter. I then headed to Ulta and spotted the new Halloween collection out for China glaze, I just picked up one, It's alive.

Midtown Magic seems to be a thicker polish than most other China glaze nail polishes I own. It was hard for me to paint my nails perfect, as you can see in this picture I messed up big time on my thumb nail, I think I must have hit it on something. Jeez, lol!
Midtown Magic, very hard to capture the sparkles in the polish on camera in dull lighting. It is darker on my nails than I thought it would be compared to some of the swatches I have seen online. I am not totally in love with it but maybe it will grow on me. I like dark colors but I think this one is a tad bit too dark for my taste.

Neeka isn't she beauttifullll!

I just wanted to post this quick picture of Neeka from the new Zoya collection, Smoke and Mirrors. This is a definitely needed purple in your collection. I stamped an accent finger from the Konad plate M57.

Wonder woman inspired!

I love wonder woman and what better way to show it through your nails. I was inspired by the wonder woman collection from the Mac makeup line they released awhile back. I hope you guys like it.

I used China glaze, Dorthy who? as the base
Essie Too Too Hot for the red lightning bolt tips
China glaze Midnight Kiss (gold)
Topped it off with Seche Vite top coat

Explosion

Today I was going through a bunch of my favorite nail art blogs because I wanted to do something exciting with my nails. I did the explosion nail featured by the nailside. Her version is way better than mine but this is my first time doing the design, and it turned out alright. I must say I have just worn this mani for a day and have gotten ALOT of attention. Hope you guys like it.

Konad nail art

I was bored today and decided to do some nail art, here is what I came up with.

True blood inspired nails

I decided to do some true blood inspired nails based off the new tarte by true blood palette. I used the slam grand trio by OPI inspired by Serena Williams called for the French open and for the ring finger I use too too hot by essie (which I am holding) and just a regular OPI black nail polish for the sides of the corset. I also used my Konand stamping plate to make the criss cross image down my nail. Very easy to do, hope you guys like it.

Dillards Hauullll!!! Extra 40% off clearance :)

I got this brown headband it has little gold details all around the headband. It was only like $2, SCORE!

I bought these Mustard colored wedges, they are super comfy and they have this buckle detailing on the side of the shoe. The brand is Naya.

Blue Polka Dot Gianni Binni dress, it reminds me of a pin up girl and looks super cute on. Very light weight material and great for summer and work.

Betsy Johnson bracelet, I love her jewelry, it is so quirky and out there but yet still girly.

I think I definitely went over my budget, no retail therapy for at least a month or so.

Subtle Glitter

Today I am wearing Skull and Glossbones(OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection) with a diagonal line of subtle glitter, OPI's Spark De Triomphe from the Serena Williams collection. I actually liked the way it turned out. I was just experimenting with some of the nail colors I have not worn yet and it turned out very feminine.

Tarte by Trueblood review

A couple of posts ago I bought the Tarte by True Blood palette and I thought I would come back and do a mini review after working with it for about a week.

Overall I am not really impressed with this palette compared to my Urban Decay and Mac eyeshadows. I think the formula for the eyeshawdows make the super chalky and hard to work with. 5 of the colors have microglitter in them so the fallout for these are terrible, you will have glitter all over your face by the time you are done. This is definitely a palette you HAVE to work with and I am just a person that likes to slap on the color and go, I don't want to pay special attention to a product and have to get up 30 minutes earlier for work to do so.

As far at the primer goes, nothing special about it, works just as well as urban decay or benefit primer.

The mascara is good, I can pretty much get all my lashes covered with the small application brush it comes with.

I actually do LOVE the aqua eyeliner. It is the blackest eyeliner I own. At first it is a bit hard to work with and akward but I have gotten use the application and now it is just easy to swipe and go. When putting the eyeliner on there is a bit of a weird sensation, like cold water running across your lid, maybe that is why it is called "aqua."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

I saw a picture of some Harry Potter nails (Nails by Asami) and had to try to recreate the look on my nails. This was a challenge for me since I am pretty much a beginner at the whole nail art thing. I think I did alright though, mine don't look as near as good as hers, lol! :)

Well here are my nails, hope you enjoy!

Tarte for True Blood Palette

I was visiting Orlando, FL the other day and I ran into this palette at Sephora and absolutely had to have it. It is the new palette for the hit TV series(and books) True Blood.

It comes with 17 eyeshadows, a mini primer and mascara and an black aqua liner. It is priced at $52(kind of pricey). I can see myself creating alot of looks with this palette from day to night. I did notice that five of the colors do have micro-glitter in them and that may get a bit messy(fallout).

I haven't used the palette yet since I just got it. I will have to work with it for a week and come back and let you guys know my thoughts.
